Sports AM will be hosting a half marathon to support The Road Home and our mission of helping individuals and families step out of homelessness. As of now, we need 3-6 volunteers to assist TRH and Sports AM staff in setting up and manning aid stations along the race route.
If you are interested, you are more than welcome to invite friends or family along to help, or even participate in the race itself! It is a morning event, and set up will need to begin around 6 am. The starting location will be at the Mountain Dell Golf Course and the race will then proceed down Emigration Canyon before ending at Rotary Glen Park by Hogle Zoo. The organizer expects the race to finish around 11:30 am, but as mentioned in the schedule, you are free to clean up and leave once the last racer passes your station.
Events like these are great ways for us to raise awareness, and having volunteers from the community means a lot to both us and the organizers of the race.
6 am- meet at Rotary Glen Park
6:15 am- Volunteers follow Karissa up Emigration Canyon to Aid Stations and help set up
7:30 am- Volunteers at respective aid stations
8:00 am- Race Starts (as the runners are finished passing their aid station they can clean up their aid station and drive back down to the park, then they can drop off the materials and can leave if they would like).
